How Fuel Storage Tanks Work

The working principle of the fuel tank mainly includes the following aspects:

LNG cryogenic storage tank: LNG cryogenic storage tank is a jacketed vacuum powder insulated pressure vessel specially used for storing and supplying cryogenic liquefied gas. Its design has a double-layer (vacuum) structure, the inner tank is used to store cryogenic liquid LNG, the outer wall is wrapped with multiple layers of insulation material, and the jacket is pumped into a high vacuum to form a good insulation system. This design can effectively isolate the external heat and keep the liquid in the tank at a low temperature.

LNG tank for vehicle: LNG tank for vehicle is usually designed as a double-layer vacuum structure, the inner tank is used to store cryogenic liquid LNG, the outer wall is wrapped with multiple layers of insulation material, and the jacket is pumped into a high vacuum. This design can not only effectively insulate, but also withstand the external force generated by the transport vehicle during driving, ensuring the safety and stability of the tank.

Gas tank: The working principle of the gas tank is to control the storage and export of gas by lifting and lowering the bell and tower sections. When the gas enters the gas storage tank, the bell and tower sections rise in sequence to form a larger storage space; when the gas is discharged, the tower sections and bell fall in sequence to reduce the storage volume. A water seal is used between the bell and the tower to isolate the tank space from the atmosphere. As the tower sections rise and fall, the storage volume and pressure of the gas will also change.
